Downstream system
The development of the downstream segment will help us reduce our dependence on price volatility and strengthen our competitiveness by delivering high value-added products. We supplies a wide range of high-quality oil products, gas processing products and petrochemical products; and manages wholesale and retail trade in different countries.
Our Oil refining in Kazakhstan produces 21 of 24 grades of crude and 15 different petroleum products, including motor gasoline, aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, black oil, petroleum coke, and others. The plant fully satisfies the republic’s demand for oil products, 45% of oil products are exported.
The refinery has high-tech equipment, such as the ED-AV-6 unit (commissioned in 2014). oil primary treatment, catalytic reforming unit (2013), gradual coking unit (2015), and catalytic cracker (2017). The most important parts of the plant are the primary treatment unit, the ED-AV-6 electric desalinizer and the fuel oil vacuum distiller.
